Chameleon Shawl in Greens
13 Feb - 20 Feb 2009
Made whilst on holiday in Dumfries & Galloway.
A wonderfully soft mohair shawl made using Argyll Chameleon Mohair in a mix of greens and yellows with touch of blue-green. Almost impossible to capture the colours on my mobile phone!
I made this whilst staying in a 'castle' or fortified manor house built in 1600, in Lowland Scotland. It kept me nice and warm in the evenings ... although the abundant quantities of whisky meant that I had to pull out 5 rows on more than one occasion when I spotted a mistake!
Yarn: 250g Argyll Chameleon Mohair
Hook: 8.00 mm
Pattern: Adapted from the Pineapple Shawl in Amazing Crochet Lace - see Amazon Link for more details - by adding an extra row of pineapples
Whisky: 3 bottles (Bladnoch 16yr, Glen Moray, Johnnie Walker Black Label) and between 3 people over 6 nights!
