Chilli Shawl Cardigan

A soft draped shawl cardigan in cotton for the summer months in a hot red (chilli) yarn.

Made from a straight forward pattern based on a rectangle with two slits for armholes - see also Summer Garden Shawl Cardigan and Haw Frost Shawl Cardigan.

Materials

350g Patons Coral Elegant Drape DK in Chilli (shade 1006): (61% cotton; 39% acrylic) - a cotton slub with acrylic thread

5.00mm hook

Foundation: 101ch.

Row 1: 1htr into 3rd ch from hook, htr into nxt 3ch, *3ch, sk 2ch, 7htr*, repeat from * to * to end finishing with 3ch, 4htr.

Row 2: 2ch (act as 1st htr throughout), htr into nxt 2 stitches, *3ch, 1htr into middle of ch sp, 3ch, sk htr, 5htr*, repeat from * to * to end, finishing with 3ch, 3htr.

Row 3: 2ch, htr into nxt stitch, *3ch, htr into ch sp, htr into single htr from previous row, htr into ch sp, 3ch, sk htr, 3htr*, repeat from * to * to end, finishing with 3ch, 2htr.
